2025 Triumph Speed 400 Gets a Price Hike: Here’s the New Cost and What You Need to Know

Without altering its appearance or functionality, Triumph Motorcycles India has raised the price of its well-liked Speed 400.
Triumph changed the price of its 2025 Speed 400 model just a few days after the new Thruxton 400 was introduced. At ₹2,50,551 (ex-showroom), the roadster has increased in price by ₹4,177 from its previous price of ₹2.46 lakh.
No visual or mechanical updates
The Speed 400's appearance and mechanical specifications have not changed despite the price rise. The four color choices—Phantom Black, Racing Red, Pearl Metallic White, and Racing Yellow—remain available. The motorcycle's ergonomics are made even more rider-friendly by the retention of features like adjustable clutch and brake levers.
Engine and Efficiency
A 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm still powers the Speed 400. A six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and assist is linked to the engine for improved control and smoother operation.
The Harley-Davidson X440, KTM 390 Duke, and other competitors in the competitive entry-level performance market are still in the race against the Speed 400.

The new Triumph Thruxton 400 was recently introduced at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom) in addition to the price change. Although it has the same engine architecture as the Speed 400, it has been tweaked to generate 42 horsepower, which makes it behave a little livelier.
The Thruxton 400 is now the fifth motorcycle to join Triumph’s 400cc lineup, following the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, and Scrambler 400 XC.
Thruxton 400: A Café Racer Twist
What sets the Thruxton 400 apart is its classic café racer styling. It comes equipped with semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, and a more aggressive rider triangle, giving it a committed, sporty riding posture.
